Getting started

  • You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA). 
  • You can connect your device to Wi-Fi to download the update.
  • You can also connect your device to your computer to download and install BlackBerry Link software to install the update.
  • To receive the latest software update, your device must be on OS version 10.3.3.2205. If not, repeat the update process until you’ve installed 10.3.3.2205, and then you should be able to install the most recent software update.

Update & verify software

Update software over Wi-Fi

  1. Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi. 
  2. From the home screen, swipe down and tap Settings.
  3. Tap Software Updates.
  4. Tap Check for Updates.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.

Update software by connecting to computer

  1. Connect your phone to your computer using the USB cable.
  2. Download and install the BlackBerry Link software on your computer.
  3. On the left side of the screen, select the Software Updates tab > Check for Updates.
  4. Select Install Software Update.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to install the update.

Verify software update

  1. From the home screen, swipe down and tap Settings.
  2. Scrolll to and tap About.
  3. Tap the Category dropdown.
  4. Tap OS.
  5. The device has the latest software if the Software release and OS version match the current update.
