  • Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a computer, or using a favorite application, before upgrading the software.

Update software

  1. Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. Swipe down from the Notification bar and tap Settings.
  3. Tap General, then About phone. 
  4. Tap Software Update, then Update now.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

Verify software update

  1. Swipe down from the Notification bar and tap Settings.
  2. Tap General, then About phone. 
  3. Tap Software info. If the Android, Baseband, and Software versions don’t match the current update; perform additional updates until they do.
