Calls & Texts

Use Calls for all things related to spam call control. You can also view your call logs, manage your personal block list, report a caller, and more.

Go to Texts to block all texts from email,1 filter spam and unknown texts (iPhones only), and get info on how to report spam texts.2

Calls (free and advanced)

My Block List

Set up My Block List to create and edit your own personal block list. You can add a number to block by using the call log, your contacts, or entering the number manually. If you decide you no longer want to block it, delete it from the list.

Call Routing Settings

Use Call Routing Settings to help block spam and other unwanted callers. All call types, except Fraud risk, are automatically set to Allow. You can choose to allow, block, or send any call type to voicemail.4 FYI: You must have an active voice mailbox to send callers to voicemail. If you don’t have an active voice mailbox, calls from numbers that aren’t on your contact list will fail.

Tap Call Routing Settings to get started.5, 6

  • Fraud risk calls are automatically set to Block for your protection.
  • Spam risk calls: Custom call types include Telemarketers, Political, Account services, Nonprofits, Surveys, and Other.
  • Private callers are callers who have hidden their Caller ID and number.

My contacts

Turn Always allow contacts ON to help ensure callers in your contacts aren’t blocked or sent to voicemail.

FYI: The ActiveArmor app uses the names and phone numbers in your address book to help you recognize your known callers.

Calls (advanced only)

You can access these calling features directly in the app anytime to help know more about who is calling you.

    • Reverse Number Lookup allows you to enter a U.S. number to get caller details. You’re limited to 200 queries within a 24-hour period.7
    • Caller ID identifies your incoming calls by name and location, when available.

Texts (free and advanced)

Block all text messages sent from an email address

When this is turned ON, all texts sent from email will be blocked including non-spam ones. It can’t block messages from apps like iMessage or WhatsApp.

Text Message Filtering (iPhone only)

You can set up the ActiveArmor app to filter your SMS messages in the Settings menu on your iPhone.

    1. Go to Settings, then select Messages.
    2. Under Message Filtering, tap Unknown & Spam.
    3. Turn Filter Unknown Senders to ON.
    4. Under SMS Filtering, select ActiveArmor, then exit.

Device & Internet

Device

Manage device security options to help prevent unauthorized access to your phone and the data on it. Options vary by operating system.

Android device security4 (free and advanced)

  • Device Scan10 (free and advanced) will scan your apps and files for malware. While we identify the malware and provide a way to remove it, you have to remove it on your own.
  • Device Protection can alert you if you don’t have a passcode or someone gains access to your phone’s operating system. Make sure you turn ON Screen lock and Root access detection to get an alert.4, 8
  • Privacy Advisor provides a summary of which apps have access to your personal info such as location, contacts, storage, and more.

Android device security4 (advanced only)

Theft Alerts10,11 can help you locate a lost or stolen phone. You can choose to set up email alerts for:

  • Multiple failed PIN attempts
  • SIM removal
  • Airplane mode turned on
  • Device powered off
  • ActiveArmor app uninstalled

iPhone device security (free and advanced)

Turn ON System Update Check and Passcode Check to get an alert if your passcode is missing, or it’s time to update your iOS software.8 System updates may help fix security issues you don’t know about.

Internet (advanced only)

You can enable network protection options to minimize your risk of a digital breach on your phone. From the app home screen, choose Internet.

Wi-Fi Security

Make sure you enable Wi-Fi security to get alerts when a threat is detected on a Wi-Fi network you joined.

  • Turn Auto-connect VPN ON to encrypt your data when you connect to public Wi-Fi8,12 or another unsecured network. A VPN is your own virtual private network and helps protect your personal info. If you have another VPN running, the auto-connect won’t work.
  • Turn Wi-Fi alerts ON to let you know whether you’re at risk or safe on public Wi-Fi.8,12

Safe Browsing

Turn ON Safe Browsing to be warned when you're about to visit a potentially unsafe website.9, 8,12

ID & Passwords

From the home screen view, choose ID & Passwords to get started with any Service or Identity Monitoring options.

Service Monitoring (free and advanced)

You can opt in to receive Breach Report alerts when companies you follow experience a security breach along with details and recommended actions. From the app home screen:

  1. Tap ID & Passwords.
  2. Scroll to Service monitoring, and tap Data Breach Alerts.
  3. Tap Add service to search for available services.
  4. Select the desired number of services, then tap Add services.

Identity Monitoring9,11 (advanced only)

Identity Monitoring scans the dark web and will alert you if your info is found. All information entered will be encrypted and safely stored in your digital vault.4,8,10

You can have the following monitored on your behalf:

  • Social Security number
  • Driver’s license
  • Passport
  • Phone numbers (max 3)
  • Email addresses (max 10)
  • Health insurance / medical ID numbers (max 2)
  • Bank accounts (max 5)
  • Credit / debit cards (max 5)

Recovery and Restoration (advanced only)

Tap Call now in the app or dial 833.543.2795 to reach a U.S.-based identity restoration specialist. The service center is open 24/7, 365 days a year.

Lost Wallet Recovery

If you lose your wallet, contact us as soon as possible. A U.S.-based specialist will help you:

  • Cancel credit / debit cards
  • Replace driver’s licenses and ID cards
  • Replace checkbook contents
  • Restore other sensitive financial items. 

FYI: Services don’t include replacing loyalty or membership cards or other cash alternatives.

ID Restoration Service

If you think you’re a victim of identity theft, a U.S.-based specialist can help with:

  • Filing an Identity Theft Affidavit with the IRS
  • Filing dispute letters with creditors
  • Working with credit bureaus and other agencies to mitigate damage as needed

Note: Services don’t include monetary compensation and aren’t guaranteed.

Passwords (advanced only)

Select Passwords to access Password Manager. Use Password Manager to:

  • Create and store strong passwords
  • Encrypt and monitor stored passwords
  • Autofill usernames and passwords for services (with your permission)
