Use Password Manager and Browser Extension in ActiveArmor

Learn how to use the AT&T ActiveArmor Password Manager and Browser Extension to securely store sign-in info.

Get help creating your Master Password and managing your password vault using the AT&T ActiveArmor® Password Manager. You’ll be able to easily create and store strong passwords.

Set up your Master Password

You have to set up a Master Password to use Password Manager, Identity Monitoring, and Social Media Identity Protection. The Master Password protects your personal info and passwords stored in your vault. We recommend linking your Master Password to your phone’s biometric unlock for convenience.

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select ID & Passwords.
  2. Select Set up now on the Master Password screen.
  3. Review the Master Password and Recovery Key details, then select Continue.
  4. Create and enter a Master Password.
  5. Confirm the Master Password, then select Continue. We’ll display a Recovery Key. You’ll need this key if you ever forget your Master password.
  6. Choose how you’d like to store your Recovery Key.
    • Download and print
    • Save manually
  7. Follow the prompts to complete the process.

Important: For security reasons, we don’t store your Master Password on our servers because it unlocks all saved data in the Password Manager.

Store a new password

Add new passwords for your apps and services:

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select ID & Passwords.
  2. Tap the Passwords tab.
  3. Select + Add Password.
  4. Enter an Account name.
  5. Enter the Web address, Username and Password for the app or service.
  6. Add any extra info in Notes.
  7. Tap Save.

Good to know: Since we don’t store your Master Password on our servers, we don’t have access to your account. All saved passwords are encrypted, and we can only see a random mix of numbers and letters.

Unlock the Passwords tab

You should keep the Password tab locked when you’re not using it.

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app and select ID & Passwords.
  2. Select the Passwords tab.
  3. Enter your Master Password and select Unlock or use biometric authentication.

The ActiveArmor® Browser Extension is an add-on for your desktop. It helps create, save, and auto-fill your passwords as you use the web. It syncs across different browsers and devices, so you only need to remember one Master Password.

Get the Browser Extension

You can choose to get the ActiveArmor Browser Extension download links by email or directly from your browser:

Request the download links via email

  1. Open the ActiveArmor app and go to ID & Passwords.
  2. Select Email me the links.
  3. Open the email on your browser and select Add extension. A puzzle icon will appear in the browser toolbar.
  4. Select the icon and choose the extension from the list.

Once installed, you can use the Password Manager from the AT&T ActiveArmor mobile security app on your desktop or mobile browser.

Good to know: Work or school computers may block some extensions.

Import accounts from other apps and browsers

  1. Sign in to the ActiveArmor browser extension and go to Settings.
  2. Select Data section and then Import Accounts.
  3. Re-enter your Master Password.
  4. Choose the existing password app you want to import from, then select the file.
