Anti-Theft

Factory reset protection allows you to prevent non-authorized users from accessing your device if it's been lost, stolen, or reset to factory settings without your permission. Only someone with the associated KaiOS account or screen lock information can use the device.

Prenote info

You must be logged into a KaiOS Account on your device to access Anti-Theft.  If you do not have a KaiOS account, see the Creating a KaiOS Account tutorial.


1. TURN ON ANTI-THEFT: From the home screen, press the OK button to access the apps tray. Press the navigational buttons to highlight the settings icon Settings app, then press the OK button to select.

2. Press the left or right button to navigate to the Account tab. Press the down button to highlight Anti-Theft then press the OK button to select.

3. Press the up or down button to highlight On then press the OK button to select.

4. REMOTELY RING, LOCK OR ERASE DEVICE USING A COMPUTER: From a computer, go to https://services.kaiostech.com/antitheft.  Enter your KaiOS account name and passord then select SIGN IN.

5. Select the desired option. MAKE RING: The device rings at full volume for 5 minutes, even if it is set to silent or vibrate. REMOTE LOCK: Remotely lock the device. REMOTE WIPE: Remotely erase the device.
