AT&T Turbo for gamers

Get excited gamers—AT&T has a new feature that’ll blow your mind! AT&T TurboSM gives you enhanced wireless data connectivity for improved real-time responsiveness and smoother gameplay. So, if you’ve been thinking about switching from Verizon or T-Mobile, AT&T Turbo may be your latest reason to leap into the future.

Let’s explore AT&T Turbo and answer some of the common questions people like you are asking, so you can feel confident about trying AT&T Turbo.

What is AT&T Turbo?

On May 2, 2024, AT&T became the first wireless carrier to give customers the choice to purchase enhanced wireless data connectivity for real-time responsiveness with the introduction of AT&T Turbo. AT&T Turbo improves wireless data connectivity when on the AT&T network by giving customers the ability to upgrade their high-speed (premium) and hotspot data allotments to performance data.

AT&T Turbo puts network resources directly in the customers’ hands by giving them the choice to purchase an improved level of service to help benefit their high-performance mobile applications like mobile gaming when on the AT&T network (excludes roaming and Wi-Fi®).

How does AT&T Turbo work?

AT&T Turbo allows customers to optimize their plan’s high-speed (premium) and hotspot data allotments by upgrading it to performance data. This, in turn, helps the performance of their data connection, even during busy times on the network. During peak network congestion, AT&T Turbo performance benefits may not be noticeable. AT&T Turbo doesn’t provide extra data and doesn’t apply to messaging or voice. If you exceed your existing allotments, your normal network management applies.

On AT&T Unlimited Extra® EL after 75GB, AT&T may temporarily slow data speeds if the network is busy.
On each eligible plan, after you exceed your hotspot allotment, your hotspot speeds are slowed to a maximum of 128Kbps.

Is AT&T Wireless good for mobile gaming?

Designed especially for gamers on the go, AT&T Turbo provides smoother gameplay with real-time responsiveness and improved stability. For $7 a month per line, gamers essentially pay a little more for a better performance experience. When they’re conquering virtual worlds, gamers know that every little difference in lag, jitter, and freezing can make a huge impact on their experience. So, if you’re ready to level up your game, for $7 a month, AT&T Turbo will boost your eligible mobile data. This will give you access to smoother gameplay, real-time responsiveness & improved stability.
