It&rsquo;s easy to bring your number when you order online. But first, it&rsquo;s important that you don&rsquo;t cancel service with your old provider. Canceling service with your old provider will result in the number transfer and wireless order being canceled.

When you&rsquo;re ready to bring your number to AT&amp;T:

	<li>Choose Keep my number at checkout.</li>
	<li>Enter the phone number you want to bring to AT&amp;T.</li>
	<li>Verify and add your carrier information. Be sure to enter it correctly so we can process the request. If there are errors in the information you enter, the number transfer may be delayed. Online orders will be canceled if not resolved.</li>

You&rsquo;ll need the following information for verification purposes:

	<li>The account number from your current carrier.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>Number transfer PIN or account passcode, if applicable, for your current carrier.

		<li>For T-Mobile, dial 611 from your device or log in to your app.</li>
		<li>For Metro PCS, dial 611 from your device or log in to your app.</li>
		<li>For Cricket, dial *PORT/*PORTAR from your device or log in to your app.</li>
		<li>For Tracfone, Straight Talk, Net10, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile, Walmart Family Mobile, text NTP to 611611.</li>

We&#39;ll ship your new phone or SIM card. Once it arrives, you will be able to <a href="https://www.cricketwireless.com/activate.html">activate</a> your service and complete your transfer.&nbsp;

Once we have your account information, we&rsquo;ll begin to work with your current carrier to approve the number transfer. We won&#39;t officially bring your phone number to AT&amp;T until you authorize the transfer and the process is complete. 
 
Here are a few things to know:

<ul>
	<li>If we can&#39;t confirm your transfer immediately, we&#39;ll work with your current wireless company and email you when we have an update. Please check your email in case we need you to take additional steps.</li>
	<li>Your current service will continue to work until you authorize us to transfer your number to AT&amp;T and the transfer is complete.</li>
	<li>Don&rsquo;t cancel your current wireless service. Your number must be active so we can bring it to AT&amp;T. We&#39;ll contact you if we need more information or if there is a problem.</li>
	<li>When you activate, you may experience &quot;mixed service&quot; for up to 4 hours. This means your old device may receive calls while your new device can make calls. This is due to the time it takes for your phone number to move through all the systems between your current wireless company and AT&amp;T. SMS/MMS messages could take up to 8 hours to work properly while this happens.</li>
	<li>Data will work on your new phone immediately after you activate.</li>

T-Mobile and Metro PCS customers: 
Dial 611 from your device or log in to your app.

Cricket customers: 
Dial *PORT/*PORTAR from your device or log in to your app.

Tracfone, Straight Talk, Net10, Total Wireless, Simple Mobile, and Walmart Family Mobile customers:

Most carriers have additional security features in place to protect your information that you might not be aware of. There&rsquo;s no need to be alarmed if there&rsquo;s an issue or things take longer than expected. There can sometimes be a delay if your carrier has asked for additional information to verify and authenticate the request.&nbsp;
Listed below are some of the most common issues. For additional assistance, please contact your carrier.&nbsp;

PIN password&nbsp; 
In mobile devices, the PIN acts like a password, preventing others from gaining unauthorized access to your device. This is typically set up upon account creation through your current provider and is a feature all carriers provide.&nbsp;

Port protection/number transfer PIN&nbsp; 
Some carriers require you to generate a number transfer PIN. This number helps prevent your number and account from being transferred or ported out accidentally or by an unauthorized user to another carrier. &nbsp;

Number lock&nbsp; 
This free feature is typically enabled by the customer to protect your mobile number from an unauthorized transfer. Once a lock is set up for a number, that number can&rsquo;t be transferred to another line/carrier unless you remove the lock. If you have one set up, you&rsquo;ll need to contact your current carrier to unlock the number.&nbsp;

Account number&nbsp; 
The port request requires the account number to be exact, so you&rsquo;ll want to ensure you have it correct. Please check a recent bill for your 9- to 18-digit number at the top corner or log in to your online account. This is especially important if you also have a PIN or password on your account that you might not recall.&nbsp;
