Find and fix AT&T Cell Booster issues

Having trouble with your Cell Booster or Cell Booster Pro? Find help with common problems.

FIX AN ISSUE

Which device do you want help with?

Status light flashing

If your status light flashes, restart your Cell Booster. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for at least 10 seconds, then plug it back in. It may take up to 30 minutes for the status light to turn solid white.

Internet light flashing

If your internet LED flashes orange or white, it’s having an internet connectivity issue. Try these tips:
  • Make sure your Ethernet cable is connected to the WAN port on your Cell Booster and your router or gateway. If you have a modem and a separate router, try connecting your Cell Booster directly to your modem.
  • Check the internet connection on other devices.
  • Restart your router or gateway and your Cell Booster device.
If none of these fix the issue, get advanced help for firewall and routers.

Dropped calls or poor voice quality

First, make sure your handset is activated on the Cell Booster Network and not on the AT&T network.

Then, if your Cell Booster is located:
  • Next to another Wi-Fi® device, move it at least a foot away from that device
  • On the floor, move it onto a desk or table
  • In a cabinet or closet, move it into a more open area
  • Near furniture or other insulated or radiating devices (like a couch, microwave, or flat-panel TV) that may interfere with the Cell Booster’s broadcasting signal, move it to a new location where there’s less interference

Good to know: If these don’t help, make sure your internet speed meets the minimum requirements. It should be at least 5Mbps. The recommended speed is 100Mbps. Test your speed
