By default, you must create and enter a password when you call to access voicemail. This helps prevent others from accessing your voicemail. You can:
Reset your voicemail password: Choose this if you forgot your current password.
Change your voicemail password: Do this if you know your current password and just want to update it.
Select voicemail password requirement: Use this if you know your current password and you want to turn the password requirement on or off for your wireless number.
Choose Switch if you need to change the phone number.
Select Reset voicemail password.
Yes, but you must know the current password and be in an AT&T coverage area. From your phone:
Press and hold 1, then enter your voicemail password.
Press * to skip to the Main menu, if you have messages.
Press 4 for Personal options, then 2 for Administrative options.
Press 1 for Password options, then 1 to Change password.
Follow the prompts to complete your change.
Good to know: If you have Visual Voicemail, access your Visual Voicemail screen and enter the new voicemail password when prompted.
