Use Find My on your device

Find My features allow you to manage your device in a secure way. If you have it turned on, you can use it to help find lost or stolen devices.

Apple

From your Home screen:

  1. Tap Settings, then tap your name, and then tap Find My.
  2. Tap Find My Phone.
  3. Slide to turn Find My iPhone, Find My network, and Send Last Location on or off. Sign in with your Apple ID, if asked.

Android

Before you start, make sure you have your screen lock enabled, and a Google account added.

  1. Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the Settings icon.
  2. Scroll to and select Google and select Find My Device.
  3. Make sure the Find My Device switch is in the On position.

Use Device support to get step by step instructions for your phone.

  1. Select your device type.
  2. Choose Security.
  3. Select Find my iPhone (Apple) or Find my device (Android).

Important: If you’re returning, selling, or giving away your device, you must turn off Find My for your device. You’ll have to erase all content and settings from your device before handing it over. Keep in mind, erasing this will completely erase your device, turn off Find My, and remove the device from your account. Failure to disable Activation locks will result in a significant reduction in trade-in value.
