Operator and Directory Assistance is ending

On or after January 1, 2023, you won’t be able to use these services on AT&T Phone.

Info about the change

Operator and Directory Assistance won't be available on AT&T PhoneSM (formerly U-verse® Voice) starting on or after January 1, 2023. Because of this, you won't be able to dial 411 on AT&T Phone to request phone numbers or addresses. Also, when placing calls, you'll need to dial phone numbers directly as Operator Assistance won't be available.

FYI: You may have already received a bill message letting you know about this change. You may also have heard an upfront message when you've called Operator or Directory Assistance to notify you that these services are ending for AT&T Phone on or after January 1, 2023.

What this means for you

If you dial "0", "00", 411, NPA+555-1212, or 555-1212 on or after January 1, 2023, you may receive a message letting you know that Operator and Directory Assistance can't be accessed.

Addresses and numbers can still be located using online services, such as: Good to know: You'll still be able to obtain Operator and Directory Assistance services through traditional home phone service at pay-per-use rates.
