Scan the QR code on the side of your gateway to connect smart devices to your home network, if you’re using the default Wi-Fi network info. Here’s how:
Scan the QR code on the back of your gateway with your device’s camera.
Tap the notification to join your home Wi-Fi.
FYI: You can only do this if you’re using the gateway’s default Wi-Fi® network name and password.
Yellow Ethernet ports support data transmission speeds of up to 1000Mbps. They’re also compatible with 10/100Mbps connections.
Blue Ethernet ports support data transmission speeds of up to 5Gbps. They’re also compatible with 10/100/1000 Mbps and 2.5Gbps connections.
Red ONT Ethernet ports connect the BGW320 to the internet and AT&T FiberSM. It isn’t used for connecting your devices. If a cable is connected from the service box to this port, don’t disconnect it.
Yes. You can expand your Wi-Fi® coverage with an AT&T Wi-Fi Extender. Sign in to AT&T Internet support to see if you’re eligible for Extended Wi-Fi Coverage service.
You can only move your gateway within reach of the fiber or Ethernet cable. Green and white fiber cable
Remove all cables from the back of your gateway, including your fiber cable. Note how they were connected.
Place the gateway where you want it and plug each of the cables back into the appropriate ports.

Remove all cables from the back of your gateway that go to your AT&T service box. Note how they were connected.
Place the gateway where you want it and plug each of the cables back into the appropriate ports.

The fiber jack is a wall jack that brings AT&T FiberSM into your home. The bottom port connects to your BGW320 gateway fiber cable. You may already have a fiber jack in your home, or a tech may install one when they set up your internet.
SFP stands for small form-factor pluggable transceiver. You’ll insert your fiber bridge into the SFP port on the back of your BGW320. This connects your Wi-Fi® gateway to AT&T Fiber Internet.
The fiber cable is the white cable with green ends plugged into the back of your BGW320.
Gently but firmly pull the cable from the white casing that has a red dot.
Heads up: Metal surfaces may get hot. Allow the area around the fiber cable to cool before touching.
