Get info about calls using AT&T Caller ID

Learn how AT&T Caller ID displays the name or number of you and your callers when making and receiving wireless calls.

Incoming calls

You'll see a caller's name on your wireless phone display if:
  • Their contact info is in your address book
  • You have an AT&T Unlimited PremiumSM, AT&T Unlimited Elite®, or AT&T Unlimited Extra® plan (don't have one of those plans? You'll just see a phone number.)
  • You have AT&T ActiveArmorSM mobile security advanced ($3.99 per month)
  • You have another Caller ID app or subscription service

Outgoing calls

To wireless phones

When placing an outgoing call from your wireless phone to another wireless phone, the other person will see your name if:
  • Your contact info is in their phone.
  • They have AT&T Unlimited Premium, AT&T Unlimited Elite, or AT&T Unlimited Extra (they'll see your name even if it isn't their contacts)
  • They subscribe to a Caller ID service

To landline phones

When you place an outgoing call from your wireless phone to a landline phone, your name and number (or just your name) show on the caller ID.

Caller ID details

All AT&T wireless voice plans include outgoing Caller ID at no additional charge. But only an AT&T Unlimited Elite or Extra plan lets you always see who’s calling you on incoming calls (when listed). Other carriers’ limitations may affect Caller ID when used while roaming.
