We assign installation or repair requests to one of our local technicians or contractors. Your request will be completed as local permits and construction plans allow.
Once we have a projected time, we’ll give you an estimated completion date. And we’ll keep you updated about any changes.
This is the date when we expect to complete burying your cable. Most of the time the cable will be buried before this date.
Once our crew is assigned to the job, they must complete certain required steps, such as locating other utility lines or requesting permits. The date may have passed due to these steps. Bad weather, frozen ground, or permit status may also cause the completion date to change. We’re still working on burying the wire. We’ll update you once we have more information.
Yes, our crew will check to see if a bury can be completed, but if there is bad weather like frozen ground, then the bury will be delayed. We’ll bury your cable once weather allows.
Sometimes we run temporary cables during installations and repairs. We’ll bury the cable as soon as possible. This will depend on:
Coordination with contractors and other utilities
Permits from local authorities
Weather
Access to private property
We work with local utility companies to identify gas, electric, and water lines on your property. They will mark these existing utilities with painted lines and flags to help our crew know where to bury the new cable.
No. But you should be home if you have locked gates or fences that block the technician from access.
Make sure we have access to your outside property
Mark the locations of any sprinkler heads and invisible fences
Secure pets and livestock
One of our technicians or contractors will arrive at your location with equipment to:
Trench and install the temporary or permanent cable
Repair the temporary or permanent cable
How long it takes to complete the work depends on what is required to route the cable.
We can’t give an exact time of day. Our crews work until dark, and don't have set times when they’ll be at your location.
