Find Wi-Fi info

Get your Wi-Fi® name and password to connect devices to your network:

  • All-Fi Hub (Wi-Fi gateway): Look for a sticker with your Wi-Fi name and password.
  • QR code: Use your mobile device to automatically connect devices to your hub.
  • Smart Home Manager: Open Smart Home Manager and look for My Wi-Fi.

Change Wi-Fi name

  1. Sign in to Smart Home Manager.
  2. Scroll to the My Wi-Fi card and choose Change next to the name or password.
  3. Select X to clear existing info, then enter a new name or password.
  4. Select Save.

Once you finish making changes, reconnect your devices with the updated network info.

FYI: You can also update your Wi-Fi from your All-Fi Hub settings.

Manage Wi-Fi security

Your hub comes with the security On and set to WPA-2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access II). If you or someone else turned the security Off, learn how to turn it back on.

  1. Go to your All-Fi Hub settings.
  2. Select Home Network, then Wi-Fi.
  3. Enter the Device Access Code on your hub.
  4. Select Advanced Options.
  5. Do the following for all Wi-Fi configuration sections:
    • To use the default password, select WPA – Default Password from theSecurity
    • To use a custom password or a password you changed, choose WPA from theSecurity
    • In the WPA Version section, select WPA-2 for maximum compatibility.
    • Enter a new 10-character password. Use a longer or more complex password for better security.
  6. Select Save.
  7. Update your Wi-Fi devices with your new password info.

FYI: Each of your radio bands may have different network names and passwords. For the best Wi-Fi experience, we recommend you use the same Wi-Fi network name and password for all radios.

Hide Wi-Fi info

Important: Before following these steps, be sure to store your Wi-Fi network name and password in a safe location. You'll have to manually enter them after your network name is hidden. Then, choose your equipment type to get detailed instructions.

  1. Go to your All-Fi Hub settings.
  2. Select Home Network, then Wi-Fi.
  3. Enter the Device Access Code on your hub.
  4. Go to the Wi-Fi section and choose Advanced Options.
  5. Under 4Hz Radio or 5.0Hz Radio scroll to Home SSID.
  6. Look for Hide Network Name and select On.
  7. Select Save.

MAC address filtering

Set up your All-Fi Hub so that it only connects to devices by MAC address. This makes your connections more secure. When you turn on MAC address filtering, only devices that you select can connect to your network.

FYI: Make sure you have the MAC address for each device you want to access your Wi-Fi home network. Every device will have its own process to find its MAC address. Check your service documentation or manufacturer's website for detailed instructions.

  1. Go to your All-Fi Hub settings.
  2. Select Home Network, then Mac Filtering.
  3. Enter the Device Access Code found on the side of your gateway.
  4. Look for the MAC Filtering Type dropdown and select Enabled for the radio you want to enable MAC Filtering for.
  5. In Mac Filter Entry, either:
    • Select your devices' MAC addresses
    • Enter the MAC address in the Manual Entry field
  6. Select Add, then Save.

Port forwarding

Important: Use port forwarding with caution. It may allow others to access devices in your home without your knowledge.

  1. Go to your All-Fi Hub settings.
  2. Select Firewall.
  3. Enter the Device Access Code found on the side of your gateway.
  4. Select NAT/Gaming.
  5. If you get a warning message, restart your Wi-Fi gateway. Then, continue with these steps.
  6. Select the application for port forwarding from the Service drop-down. If you don't see your application, or you're setting up port forwarding for a device:
    • Select Custom Services.
    • Enter the name for the application or device in Service Name.
    • Enter the port(s) you wish to open for Global Port Range. It's recommended to create a separate service entry for each port as opposed to using a port range. In this case the port number should be the same in the Global Port Range fields.
    • In Base Host Port, enter the port number used for the first Global Port Range section.
    • Select the appropriate Protocol from the drop-down for the application or device you are adding.
    • Select Add. Repeat as needed for additional applications and devices.
    • When all applications or devices have been added, select Return to NAT/Gaming. Your new applications or devices will display in the Applications list.
  7. Select the device name or IP address of the device from the Needed by Device drop-down, to open the port.
  8. Select Add.
  9. When your selections display in Hosted Applications, select Save.
