Already have your email setup, but want to update your email account with your secure mail key? Here’s what you have to do:
- Right click your AT&T email and select Properties.
- On the General tab:
- Verify your Name and Email address.
- Make sure Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing is checked.
- Select the Servers tab:
- Confirm POP3 or IMAP displays for incoming mail server.
- Check that the Incoming Mail Server has the correct email address.
- Enter or paste your secure mail key in the Password field.
- Make sure Remember password is checked.
- Confirm My server requires authentication is selected for Outgoing Mail server.
- Select Outgoing Mail Server Settings and confirm the following:
- Incoming server: imap.mail.att.net (IMAP) or inbound.att.net (POP3)Â
- Outgoing mail server: smtp.mail.att.com (IMAP) or outbound.att.net (POP3)
- Select the Advanced tab and confirm the following:
- Incoming server - Enter 993 (IMAP) or 995 (POP3).
- Use the following type of encrypted connection - SSL.
- Outgoing server - Enter 465 (IMAP and POP3).
- Use the following type of encrypted connection - SSL.
- Select Apply and then OK.
