AT&T Consumer Do-Not-Call Policy
AT&T occasionally calls and texts consumers regarding special promotions, offers, or other sales concerning AT&T products and services. Some consumers do not want to receive such calls or texts, and AT&T complies with all applicable laws and regulations for consumers who request that AT&T not call or text for telemarketing purposes. AT&T maintains a company-specific, do-not-call list, and below are a few things you should know.
- Once you're added to AT&T’s do-not-call list, we won’t call or text you with promotions or offers but may continue to call or text you for service purposes, such as account information, billing, and survey.
- AT&T maintains your request for five (5) years, unless you ask to be removed from the list to start receiving promotions and offers.
- If your number changes, you must let us know if you wish to add the new number to AT&T's do-not-call list so we won't unknowingly call or text you.
Do you wish to register for AT&T's do-not-call list? You can do so in one of three ways: (1) call an AT&T customer service representative at 1-800-288-2020; (2) chat with us online; or (3) send an e-mail to privacypolicy@att.com. Provide your telephone number, ask that it is added to AT&T's internal do-not-call list, and we will add the number to AT&T's internal list within thirty (30) days of your request.
You should also know that a federal agency maintains a National Do-Not-Call registry; you can learn more information at www.donotcall.gov. Some states maintain do-not-call lists, so you can check with your state Attorney General or other regulator for the rules and exceptions.
