There are three AT&T home phone services to choose from, each with different options designed to meet your needs. AT&T PhoneSM is a digital phone service delivered over an internet connection with over 25 calling features like voicemail, caller ID, call blocking and more. To take full advantage of AT&T Phone, you’ll need an AT&T internet plan.
The next option is AT&T Phone – Advanced. It uses technology provided by the AT&T cellular network and/or a broadband connection to support your current phone and up to six devices—and you get to keep your phone number. It also offers a variety of features you know and love like call forwarding, caller ID and call waiting.
Lastly, there’s AT&T Landline phone service, providing traditional home phone service with flexible packages for local, long-distance, and international calling options.
The main difference between AT&T PhoneSM, AT&T Phone – Advanced and AT&T Landline is the type of technology used to support calling capabilities. AT&T Phone uses an internet connection to make and connect calls, while AT&T Phone — Advanced uses the AT&T cellular network and/or an internet connection. Meanwhile, AT&T Landline is a traditional home phone service that uses a regular analog phone line to connect your calls. All three options offer a selection of home phone plans to choose from, so you can stay connected while staying on budget.
Yes, AT&T offers two different VoIP services. AT&T PhoneSM is our most sophisticated digital phone service with over 25 calling features including unlimited long distance, caller ID and more. You’ll need an AT&T internet plan if you choose AT&T Phone service.
We also offer AT&T Phone – Advanced, which is another digital phone service that uses VoIP technology to deliver home phone service over a cellular connection and/or a broadband connection. Not only does it allow you to keep your phone number, AT&T Phone — Advanced also supports six devices, including fax, alarm, medical monitoring and more. There are two plans to choose from with AT&T Phone – Advanced service.
VoIP services can be cheaper than traditional landline services, while offering many of the same features you might want in your home phone service. For example, AT&T PhoneSM gives you digital phone service with a variety of features you know and love, like unlimited long distance, voicemail and call blocking. You can choose between three different home phone plans to tailor your service to your needs and keep costs down.
Meanwhile, AT&T Phone – Advanced VoIP service offers similar benefits with two different plans to choose from, each featuring all the benefits of a landline connection for a lower cost than a typical landline connection. Both services are a good choice if you’re looking for home phone service at an affordable price.
