About the app

The AT&T Device Help app is compatible with Android devices running Android 8.0 (Android O) or later and Apple iPhones 6 or later. It’s tailored to your device, helping you learn how to use the latest features, keep it optimized to run at its best, and troubleshoot common issues.

With the app, you can:

  • · Master your device with step-by-step guides and expert tips
  • · Get alerts for updates to improve device performance
  • · Pinpoint device issues with suggestions for quick troubleshooting

App tools

The Hub

The Hub provides info on your device status near the device name. Tap the arrow to expand the hub.

See an alert? Take action from the Hub or go to the Device health section to find out what caused the alert.

Device health scan

The device health tool checks performance and suggests actions to support daily use.

1. Select Scan now to run the device health diagnostic tool.

2. Choose the dropdown icon to view device health alert info. If you see an alert, tap it or Show recommendations to see how Device Help can help fix the issue.

In this section, you can also run a full set of diagnostics for more insight into how your device is functioning.

Important: Android devices must enable permissions associated with storage, location, and more the first time you run a device health checkup or diagnostics.

Fix an Issue

Having an an issue with your smartphone? Go to the Fix an Issue section of the app.

  1. Select or search for the issue you’re having.
  2. Run the recommended tests.
  3. Tap Show solutions to find ways to fix your issue

Tutorials and troubleshooting

Another way to fix smartphone issues is with the Troubleshoot section.

  1. Select Explore tutorials & troubleshooting from the Device Help main screen.
  2. Tap Select all next to AT&T Troubleshooting.
  3. Select the troubleshoot link for your topic.

You can also access a variety of how-to tutorials and videos for your device.

  1. Select Explore tutorials & troubleshooting from the Device Help main screen.
  2. Choose the desired topic category, then the desired tutorial topic.

Or, tap the Search icon and enter the topic or function you’re curious about. Then, select the desired search result.
