5G Experiences at NBA Tip Off
AT&T Tips Off the NBA Season with New 5G Innovations
5G Experiences Live at Tip-Off and Expanding to Arenas Throughout the Season
AT&T will offer NBA fans new experiences this season with the launch of 5G in multiple arenas.
5G from AT&T will usher in the next generation of connected entertainment and sporting events in dramatic, exciting ways by blurring the physical and digital worlds to create next-generation experiences – which are simply not possible on today’s wireless networks.
"We're connecting fans with their passions and putting them in the center of the action by using our 5G at sporting events, entertainment experiences and more," David Christopher, Executive Vice President and General Manager, AT&T Mobility. "Through growing our relationship with the NBA and WNBA, we continue to enhance the game-day experience for fans no matter where they are by using our show-stopping 5G network."
AT&T 5G Coming to an Arena Near You
From the very first game of the season to the last, AT&T 5G is revolutionizing the way NBA fans interact with the sport. A few exciting ways include:
- Putting fans onsite at the center of the action during the TNT fan fest experience at L.A. Live in Los Angeles on Oct. 22 with virtual side-by-side access to TNT broadcast star Candace Parker through a volumetric 3D experience powered by AT&T 5G.
- Capturing content onsite from the TNT fan fest at L.A. Live that can be sent over AT&T 5G for production teams’ use during the Inside the NBA broadcast Oct. 22 on TNT.
- Continuing our leadership in connecting fans to their favorite players through new experiences that combine sports entertainment with next generation technologies over 5G at the United Center in Chicago, which will be among the first arenas in the nation to get a 5G boost from AT&T during the 2019/2020 NBA season.
- We’ll showcase 5G capabilities at the United Center during NBA All Star 2020, building on the momentum of our NBA sponsorship and learnings from our first live 5G broadcast at NBA Summer League. Additional arenas where AT&T will bring the future of connectivity over 5G will be named later.
