In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

Remove back cover and battery

Remove the back cover of the device by twisting the screw at the bottom of the battery cover into the unlocked position and pulling up from the notch on the bottom left or right. 



Remove the battery by pulling up from the notch at the top.

Insert SIM card

Slide down and gently lift the SIM tray cover. Place the SIM card into the SIM tray with the metal contacts facing down and the notched edge on the top left. Push the SIM tray cover back down and slide up to lock the SIM tray cover in place.

Note: The Sonim XP5plus features two SIM card trays.

Insert microSD card

Slide down and gently lift the MicroSD tray cover. Place the microSD card into the SIM tray with the metal contacts facing down and the notched edge on the bottom left. Push the MicroSD tray cover back down and slide up to lock the MicroSD tray cover in place.

Replace battery and back cover

To replace the battery, place the battery in the battery slot with the notches facing up and the gold contacts on the battery lined up with the gold contacts on the phone.



To replace the back cover, place the cover on the back of the phone, then gently press on the sides of the back cover snap the back into place. Twist the screw back into the locked position. The cover should be flush with the rest of the device.
