Secure Folder

A Samsung account is required to access.
1. SETUP SECURE FOLDER: From the home screen, swipe down from the Notification bar then select the Settings icon.

2. Select Security.

3. Select Secure Folder.

4. Select Agree.

Note: If prompted, enter your Samsung account password then select OK.

5. Select the desired folder lock type, then select Next.

Note: For this tutorial, Pattern was chosen.

6. Enter the desired lock code, then select Continue.

7. Enter the lock code again, then select Confirm.

8. ACCESS SECURE FOLDER: After completing the Secure folder set up, the Secure Folder app will appear in the Samsung folder in your Apps tray. When you access Secure folder you will be prompted to enter your passcode. From the Samsung folder, select the Secure Folder app.

Note: To access the Apps tray, swipe up or down from the center of the home screen.

9. Enter the passcode.

10. USE SECURE FOLDER: Select the Menu icon then select Lock to lock the secure folder. Select Add apps, then select the desired apps to add to the secure folder.

11. ADD FILES TO SECURE FOLDER: Select Add files.

12. Navigate to and select the desired file(s), then select Done.

Note: You can also add pictures from the Gallery app. Select and hold the desired picture(s) > Menu icon > Move to Secure Folder. Pictures that have been moved to the Secure Folder are no longer visible in the regular Gallery. Select Secure Folder > Gallery to view them.

13. HIDE SECURE FOLDER: From the settings screen, select Security.

14. Select Secure Folder.

Note: If prompted enter your passcode.

15. Select the Show Secure Folder switch, then select HIDE to confirm.
