Make & Receive a Call

Place, receive, and reject a call.

MAKE A PHONE CALL: From the home screen, select the Phone app. Dial the desired number, then select the Call icon.
Note: Alternately, you can access the Phone app from the lock screen by selecting and dragging the Phone icon in any direction. To learn about calling or using your device in other countries, visit the AT&T International website.
MAKE A CALL USING SPEED DIAL: Select and hold the desired speed dial number.
Note: To call a speed dial contact with two digits, select the first digit then select and hold the second digit. To add a number to speed dial, from the phone app select the Menu icon > Speed dial > the number you wish to assign the contact to > desired contact. The number 1 is reserved for Voicemail.
While a call is active, the Call icon will be displayed in the Notification bar.
CONFERENCE CALL: While on a call, select Add call to add a call. Enter the desired number, then select the Call icon.
ANSWER OR DECLINE A CALL: Swipe the Answer icon in any direction to answer a call. Swipe the Decline icon in any direction to decline a call.
Note: To turn automatic answering on or off, from the home screen select the Phone app > Menu icon > Settings > Answering and ending calls > Automatic answering switch.
REPLY WITH MESSAGE: Select and drag SEND MESSAGE up. Select the desired message or select Compose new message to write your own.
Note: To create or edit text message replies from the home screen, select the Phone app > Menu icon > Settings > Quick decline messages > select desired message to edit.
