Take a picture or video
Take a screenshot, edit a picture or video, use the front and rear camera, and switch between camera and video modes.
INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
- From the home screen, tap the Camera icon.
Note: You can also access the camera via the lock screen by swiping the Camera icon or via Quick Launch by double-tapping the Home key. To disable the Quick Launch feature, from the Camera, tap Settings > tap the Quick launch toggle.
- Tap the Switch camera icon to change between front and rear cameras.
- Tap the screen to take a photo.
- To zoom in and out, use fingers to pinch or expand along the screen.
- To take a video, tap the Video icon.
Note: The video will automatically begin recording.
- Tap the screen to take a picture in video mode.
- Tap the Pause icon to pause recording.
- Tap the Pause icon to resume recording.
- Tap the Stop icon to end the recording and save the video.
- Access saved pictures or videos in the Gallery. Swipe right from the Camera mode to access the Gallery.
- This device has an 5 MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3 MP front-facing camera. The video recorder is 720p and 30fps.
Note: To take a screenshot, press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons at the same time, until you hear the camera shutter and the screen flash. To view the captured screenshot open the Gallery or Photos app.
