Backup & Restore with Google

Backup Google account data in the event you have to replace or reset your device so you can restore later.

INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
  1. You can use Android Backup Service to back up data connected to one or more of your Google accounts. If you replace your device or erase its data, you can restore your data using the account(s) that you backed up.

  2. Swipe down from the top of the screen with two fingers to access the Notifications menu.

  3. Tap the Settings icon.

  4. Under the General tab, scroll to, then tap Backup & reset.

  5. Toggle Back up my data and Automatic restore on.

  6. Tap Backup account to set up a backup account.

  7. Tap + Add account to add an account.

  8. When you add your Google account to a device, the data that you previously backed up for that Google account is restored to the device. To add your Google account, go to Settings > Accounts > Google > follow the on-screen prompts.
