Take a picture or video
Take a screenshot, edit a picture or video, use the front and rear camera, and switch between camera and video modes.
INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
- From the home screen, tap Camera.
- To change between front and rear camera, tap the Switch camera icon.
- To take a picture, tap the Camera icon.
- To take a video, tap the Camera switch.
- Tap the desired recording mode.
- Tap the Record icon to begin recording the video.
- To take a picture while recording, tap the Camera icon.
- Tap the Stop icon to stop and save the recording.
- Tap the Gallery icon to view saved pictures and videos.
Note: To edit saved photos, tap the Gallery icon > swipe to the desired photo > tap anywhere to display options > tap the Edit icon. Alternatively, from the home screen, swipe to then tap Gallery > navigate to the desired photo > press the Menu key > tap Edit > then tap the desired editor.
- The Galaxy S3 rear camera is 8 MP and the front camera is 1.9 MP. The video recorder is up to 720p.
Note: To take a screen shot, press and hold the Home and Power buttons at the same time until you hear the camera shutter sound and a short flashing animation. To view captured screenshots tap the Gallery or Photos app.
