Add your Google account to sync Gmail, Chrome, YouTube, Google Maps, and more.

- Registering a Google account allows you to download and purchase content in the Google Play Store, access email through the Gmail application, receive personalized Google Search results, and have your account automatically logged in for all other Google-based services on your device.
- From the home screen, swipe down on the Notifications bar.
- Tap the Settings icon.
- Under the General tab, tap Accounts & sync.
- Tap Add account.
- Tap Google.
- Tap the Email field.
Note: If you need a Google account, tap OR CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT, then follow the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, visit accounts.google.com/signup..
- Enter your email, then tap NEXT.
- Tap the Password field.
Note: If you have forgotten your password, tap 'Forgot password?', then follow the on-screen prompts to retrieve or reset your password.
- Enter your password, then tap NEXT.
- Tap ACCEPT.
- If desired, disable Google's backup services by tapping the Checkbox, then tap NEXT to complete setup.
- The Google account is now set up.
