Access Battery usage to determine which apps and features are consuming the most battery. Note: Swipe to then tap the AT&T folder > Tap 'Usage Manager' > Tap the 'BATTERY' tab > Scroll down to view battery usage data > Tap the desired app/feature to view details
Toggle on Battery Saver. Note: Swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap Settings icon > General tab > Battery.
Ensure that Auto-brightness is toggled on to prolong battery life. Note: The screen brightness can also be set to its lowest setting to extend battery life. To access, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap the Settings icon > Display > Adjust the brightness slider as desired.
Set the screen timeout to low. Note: To access, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap the Settings icon > Display > Screen timeout.
Toggle Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and NFC services off while not in use. Note: To turn off, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap the appropriate icons.
Avoid using Live wallpapers as they consume additional battery life. Note: To access, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap the Settings icon > Display > Home screen > Wallpaper.
Toggle location services & GPS functionality off while not in use. Note: To access, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap the Settings icon > General > Location.
Toggle off the Auto-update feature in the device's app store, as downloads will consume additional battery life. Note: Home screen > Play Store > Play Store menu icon > Settings > Auto-update apps.
Toggle Auto-sync features off to prevent applications from downloading content. Note: To access, swipe down from the top of the screen and then tap the Settings icon > General > Accounts & sync > Auto-sync data.
Toggle Airplane mode on to significantly increase the life of the battery. Note: Airplane mode disables all wireless services. Calls, data, and text messages cannot be sent or received. Toggle Airplane mode off to restore regular device function. Home screen > Press and hold Power/Lock key > Turn on Airplane mode.
