Messaging Settings

Manage messaging settings such as notification alerts, message limits, and more.

  1. ACCESS MESSAGE SETTINGS: From the Messaging app, select the Menu icon then select Settings.

  2. ADJUST NOTIFICATIONS: Select the GENERAL tab > scroll to and select Notifications to turn notifications on or off. To change the notification sound, select Select ringtone. To enable/disable notification during a call, select Beep when on an active call.

  3. VIEW MESSAGE CENTER NUMBER: From the Messaging settings screen, select the ADVANCED tab. The Service center number will be displayed.

  4. ADJUST TEXT/PICTURE MESSAGE LIMIT: From Messaging Settings, select the ADVANCED tab then scroll to and select Maximum message size. Set the desired Maximum message size, then select OK.

    Note: To control whether messages longer than 3 texts get sent as MMS instead of SMS, select Creation mode > desired setting.

  5. EMERGENCY ALERTS: Swipe down from the Notification bar, then select the Settings icon > Apps & notifications > scroll to and select Advanced > Wireless emergency alerts > edit Emergency alerts as desired.
