A master reset reverts the device back to factory settings. It will permanently erase all personal data, preferences, settings and content such as pictures, ringtones and apps that are saved to the device. Data stored to an SD card will not be erased unless otherwise selected. It is recommended that you save (backup) important data to your SIM, SD card, or a computer before proceeding.
From the home screen, press the Options key.
Select System settings, then press the Center Nav key.
Select Factory reset, then press the Center Nav key.
Select Factory data reset, then press the Center Nav key.
Select Reset phone, then press the Center Nav key.
Select Erase everything, then press the Center Nav key.
Select OK, then press the Center Nav key. Note: If unable to reset the device using the above steps, try the alternate master reset method by first powering the device off. Press and hold the Power key and the Volume-up key for 15-20 seconds to access the Android system recovery mode. Use the Volume-up key or the Volume-down key to highlight to the desired option and press Power key to perform the selected action.
