This tutorial walks through how to learn and customize the home screen.

Tap an icon to access.
To scroll, touch your finger to the device, then move it up or down.
To access the notification menu, from any screen, swipe down from the notification bar.
The notification screen will be displayed.
To add an app to the home screen, from the home screen, tap Apps.
Scroll to, then touch and hold the desired app. Note: Apps without the check mark icon are saved to your Amazon Cloud Drive account, but not on this device. Tap the icon to download the app to this device.
Tap Add.
Tap To Home.
To relocate an app, from the home screen, swipe up.
Touch and hold the desired app.
Drag the app to the desired location, then release.
To delete an app, from the home screen, touch and hold the desired app.
Tap Remove.
Tap From Favorites.
To adjust the device brightness, from any screen, swipe down from the notification bar.
Tap Brightness.
Tap the Auto-Brightness switch to toggle auto-brightness on or off.
Touch and drag the Brightness slider to adjust brightness.
