Connection Status
This tutorial shows how to view the connection status of the device.
INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
- To view your current connection status, swipe down to access the moments bar.
- When the Gear S is paired with a device via Bluetooth it is in Connected Via Bluetooth mode. All Gear S features are available, including calling, messaging and applications. Calls made in this mode will originate from your Galaxy phone number by default.
Note: Gear S settings can be adjusted via Gear Manager on your Galaxy phone.
- When the Gear S and Galaxy device have active data connections via Wi-Fi or Cellular data, it is in Connected Remotely mode. Notification, messaging, email, and standalone app features are available. Calls made in this mode will originate from the Gear S phone number.
- When there is no Bluetooth connection, and the Galaxy phone does not have an active wireless data connection, it is in Gear Only mode.Calling, messaging, S Health and S Voice features are available. Calls made in this mode will originate from the Gear S phone number.
