1. From the home screen, press the Right soft key.
   
2. Scroll to the 'Settings' icon, then press the Center nav key.
   
3. Select 'Phone Settings', then press the Center nav key.
   
4. Scroll to 'Display', then press the Center nav key.
   
5. To adjust the brightness, scroll to 'Brightness', then press the Center nav key.
   
6. Press the Left and Right nav keys to adjust the brightness as desired.
   
7. Press the Center nav key to save.
   
8. To adjust the backlight timeout, scroll to 'Backlight', then press the Center nav key.
   
9. Select 'Screen', then press the Center nav key.
   
10. Scroll to the desired timeout setting, then press the Center nav key.
