1. From the home screen, press the Right Soft key.
   
2. Scroll to Settings, then press the Center Nav key.
   
3. Scroll to Phone Settings, then press the Center Nav key.
   
4. Scroll to Display, then press the Center Nav key.
   
5. To change the screen timeout settings, scroll to Backlight, then press the Center Nav key.
   
6. With Screen selected, press the Center Nav key.
   
7. Scroll to the desired option, then press the Center Nav key.
   
8. To change the brightness, scroll to Brightness, then press the Center Nav key.
   
9. Scroll to the left or right to set the desired brightness level, then press the Center Nav key.
