Add your Google account to sync Gmail, Chrome, YouTube, Google Maps, and more.

  1. Registering a Google account allows you to download and purchase content in the Google Play Store, access email through the Gmail application, receive personalized Google Search results, and have your account automatically logged in for all other Google-based services on your device.

  2. From the home screen, tap Apps.

  3. Swipe to, then tap Settings.

  4. From the "Accounts" tab, tap Add account.

  5. Tap Google.

  6. Tap Existing.
    Note: If you need a Google account, tap New and follow the on-screen prompts, or visit www.gmail.com.

  7. Enter your account information, then tap the Right Arrow.

  8. Tap OK.

  9. If "Upgrade to Google+" is displayed, tap Not now.
    Note: To set up Google+ later, tap 'Apps > Google+'.

  10. Tap the desired options, then tap the Right Arrow to complete your Google account setup.
