Learn & customize the home screen

Add shortcuts and widgets, access the notification panel, changing wallpaper, and more.

INSTRUCTIONS & INFO

To change the placement of apps and icons, touch and hold the desired icon or app.
Drag the icon to any empty space on the screen, then release.
To place the icon in a new folder, drag the icon to Create folder, then release.
Enter the desired folder name.
Tap OK.
Note: The new folder will populate in an available space on the screen.
You can now add other apps and icons to the folder. Tap a folder to edit it.
Note: Folders are identified by a black disc beneath the icon.
Tap the Folder name to change the name.
Enter the desired name.
Tap Done.
To add an app to the home screen, tap Apps.
To add an app to a home screen, touch and hold the desired app.
Drag the app to any empty space, then release.
To remove an app from the home screen, touch and hold the desired app.
Drag the app to Remove.
When the Remove icon turns red, release the app to remove it.
To add a widget to the home screen, tap Apps.
Tap Widgets.
Swipe to, then touch and hold the desired widget.
Drag the widget to any open space on the screen.
Note: Some widgets are larger than app icons and require more space on the screen. Other widgets and apps will adjust their positions as you drag the widget around the screen.
Release the widget to place it.
To remove a widget from the home screen, touch and hold the desired widget.
Drag the widget to Remove.
When the Remove icon turns red, release the widget to remove it.
To add a shortcut to the homescreen, tap Internet.
Tap the Web address field and navigate to the desired web page.
Tap the Menu icon.
Tap Add shortcut to home.
To remove a shortcut, touch and hold the desired shortcut.
Drag the shortcut to Remove. When the Remove icon turns red, release the shortcut to remove it.
To edit the home screens, tap the Menu icon.
Tap Edit page.
To change the default home screen page, tap the Home icon on the desired page.
To add a page to the home screen, tap the Add icon.
To change the order of the home screens, touch and hold the desired home screen page.
Drag the page to the desired location.
To delete a page, drag the page to Remove.
When the Remove icon turns red, release the page to delete it.
To change the screen brightness, from the home screen, swipe down the Notifications bar with one finger to reveal the menu.
Touch and drag the Brightness slider to adjust the screen brightness.
