Take a Picture or Video

Take and edit a picture or video, use the front and rear camera, and switch between camera and video modes.

INSTRUCTIONS & INFO

From the home screen, select the Camera app.
Note: The K10 has a 8MP rear-facing camera and a 5MP front-facing camera.
SWITCH BETWEEN CAMERAS: Select the Change camera icon.
Note: You can also swipe in any direction to quickly switch between the rear and front facing cameras. To access camera settings, view the Camera & Video Settings tutorial.
TAKE A PHOTO: Select the Shutter icon.
Note: You can also take a picture by saying "Cheese," "Smile," or "LG." To enable or disable Voice control for photos, from the home screen, select the Camera app > Settings icon > Cheese shutter icon.
FOCUS: Select the screen in the desired location to focus the camera.
ZOOM IN/OUT: Drag two fingers from the middle of the screen toward the outer edges of the screen to zoom in. Pinch two fingers from the outer edges of the screen to the middle of the screen to zoom out.
GESTURE/AUTO SHOT: While taking a "selfie" with Gesture shot, hold an open hand in front of the camera then make a fist to take a photo. While taking a "selfie" with Auto shot, the camera will detect your face and automatically take a picture.
Note: These options are only available on the front camera. From the Camera, select the Settings icon then select Gesture shot to cycle through Gesture and Auto shot.
QUICKLY SHARE A PHOTO OR VIDEO: Select the Instant share arrow. Select the desired sharing method and follow the on-screen prompts.
RECORD A VIDEO: From the Camera app, select the Record icon.
Note: The video recorder is 720p at 30fps.
TAKE A PICTURE WHILE RECORDING: Select the Camera icon.
PAUSE OR STOP RECORDING: Select the Pause icon to pause the video. Select the Record icon to resume recording. Select the Stop icon to finish recording.
TAKE A SCREENSHOT: Press and hold the Power/Lock and Volume down buttons.
Note: To access screenshots, select the Gallery app > Albums > Screenshots.
