Messaging Settings
Change text (SMS), picture (MMS), Advanced Messaging, wireless emergency (WEA), and AMBER alert settings.
INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
- From the home screen, select the Messages app.
- Select the Menu icon, then select Settings.
- ADJUST NOTIFICATIONS: Select Notifications, then select the notifications switch on or off to enable messages notifications. Edit other notifications as desired.
- Select General notifications > Sound > select the desired sound, then select the Back icon.
- TURN ADVANCED MESSAGING ON/OFF: From the Messages settings screen, select Advanced Messaging >Â Advanced Messaging switch.
Note: If Advanced Messaging is turned on and you are messaging another device using Advanced Messaging you can share files up to 10MB, get read receipts, and see when someone is replying.
- CHANGE FONT SIZE: From the Messages settings screen, select Font size. Make sure the Use device font sizes switch is turned off, then select and drag the FONT SIZE slider to the desired size. Select DONE when finished.
- VIEW MESSAGE CENTER NUMBER: From the Messages settings screen, select More settings > Text messages > Message center number will appear.
- EMERGENCY ALERTS: From the Messages settings screen, select Wireless emergency alert > Emergency alerts > Edit settings as desired.
