Learn & Customize the Home Screen

Add shortcuts and widgets, access the notification panel, changing wallpaper, and more.


INSTRUCTIONS & INFO
  1. SET WALLPAPER: Select and hold any empty space on the home screen > Wallpapers > navigate to and select the desired wallpaper > SET WALLPAPER > desired option (Home screen, Lock screen, or Both).
    Note: Live wallpapers can increase battery consumption.

  2. SET DEFAULT HOME SCREEN PANEL: Select and hold any empty space on the home screen, then select and drag the desired home panel to the left until it is the leftmost panel.

  3. MOVE A PANEL: Select and drag the desired panel to the desired location.

  4. ADD A PANEL: Select and drag an app to the right, to an empty panel.
    Note: To remove a home screen panel, select and drag all apps and widgets onto another panel. The empty panel will automatically be deleted.

  5. ADD AN APP TO THE HOME SCREEN: Swipe up to access the Apps tray, then select and drag the desired app to the desired location on the home screen.
    Note: To add a widget (a mini app) to the home screen, select and hold an empty area of a home screen, then select Widgets. To remove an app or widget, see the Remove an App tutorial.

  6. ADD/REMOVE A FOLDER TO THE HOME SCREEN: Select and drag the desired app over another app, then release. To remove, select and drag the folder to Remove at the top of the screen.
    Note: Alternatively, select and drag all the apps out of a folder to remove the folder.

  7. ACCESS AND CHANGE ALWAYS ON DISPLAY SETTINGS: From the home screen, select the Moto app > Moto Display > edit Always on display settings as desired.
