Getting started

  • You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA). 
  • You must connect your device to Wi-Fi® to download the update.
  • Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, before upgrading your software, we recommend backing up your media files to an SD card, a computer, or using a favorite application.

Update software

  1. Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi. 
  2. Swipe down from the Notification bar and tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to and tap AT&T Software Update, then Check for Updates.
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  5. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

Verify update

  1. Swipe down from the Notification bar and tap Settings.
  2. Scroll to and tap About tablet.
  3. If the Baseband and Firmware versions don't match the current update; perform additional updates until they do.
