- Press the Home button.
- Tap Settings > Device > Install System updates > Check Now.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
- The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

- Press the Home button.
- Tap Settings > Device > Get info about your Fire.
- The device has the latest software if the Software version, Baseband version, and Build number match the current update details.
