Getting started

  • You can download the update via Firmware Over the Air (FOTA).
  • The update will be pushed automatically to devices over the AT&T wireless network. You can also download the update to your device manually following the steps below, but this requires that you connect the device to Wi-Fi.
  • Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a PC, or using a favorite application, prior to upgrading the software.
  • To receive this software update, your device must be on previous baseband version G928AUCS5ERG1. If not, repeat the update process until you’ve installed G928AUCS5ERG1, and then you should be able to install the latest software update.

Update software

  1. Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi.
  2. From the device home screen, swipe down from the Notification bar and tap the Settings icon.
  3. Scroll to and tap Software update.
  4. Tap Check for updates.
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update.
  6. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.
