2. Using your Apple Pencil, begin writing a note.

3. Auto-refine will enhance the appearance of your writing automatically.
To transcribe voice memos into text, from a new note, select the Microphone key on the keyboard then begin speaking when the microphone icon appears at the top of your note. Your voice memo will be converted to text automatically.
HIGHLIGHT TEXT: From the desired note, select the hold the desired text, then select Select or Select All.
Note: Two end points will appear. Select and drag the end points to expand or reduce selection.
Select the Format icon then select the highlighter icon. Select the desired text you would like to highlight.
Note: To change the highlighter color, select the colored dot on the right side of the Text format window, then select the desired color.
HIGHLIGHT HANDWRITTEN NOTES: From a handwritten note, select the Markup icon then select the highlighter. Using your Apple Pencil, highlight the text as desired.
Note: To change the highlighter color, from the Markup window with the highlighter selected, select the desired color.
1. With iOS 18 you can collapse a section of text. Sections are only collapsible if the header is formatted as a title, heading or subheading. To format the section headers, select the hold the desired text, then select Select or Select All.
Note: Two end points will appear. Select and drag the end points to expand or reduce selection.
2. Select the Format icon then select the desired format (Title, Heading or Subheading).
3. Once the headings are formatted, select a Title or heading.
4. An arrow will appear next to the section header. To collapse or expand the body text, select the arrow.
