Set up your device for the first time or after a factory reset.
1. When turning the device on for the first time, or after a factory reset, you will be walked through a series of prompts to set up your device. Choose the desired language, then select Start to continue.
2. If you would like to connect to a Wi-Fi network, select the desired network name and follow the on-screen prompts. To connect to a hidden network, select Add network and follow the prompts.
3. Review the Copy apps & data prompt, then select the desired option.
4. Select the desired option on who is going to use this device.
Note: For this tutorial, A child was selected.
4. Review the Set this device up for a kid prompt, then select Got it to set up Google Kids Space.
5. Logging into a supervised Google account is required to set up Google Kids Space and parental controls. Select Sign in with your child's Google Account and follow the prompts to sign in with your child's account, or select Create a new Google Account for your child and follow the prompts to create a supervised Google account.
6. Select the desired account to supervise the child's account with.
7. Sign in or enter the password to verify that the account is yours, then select Next.
8. Review the Privacy and Terms, then select I agree.
9. Review the Stick around for what's next prompt then select Next to set up Family Link parental controls.
10. Review the Set up Google Kids Space? prompt then select Set up.
11. Edit settings as desired for your child's library, then scroll to and select Next.
12. Select the checkbox next to the desired apps you wish to install for your child, then scroll to and select Next.
13. Review the Set up YouTube? prompt. Select Next then follow the prompts to configure what type of content your child can access, or select Not now to configure settings later.
14. Review the Manage parental controls prompt. Select Install to auto-install the Family Link app onto a suggested device. If you would like to use a different device to manage this device's settings remotely or install it later, select Skip.
15. Review the Google services prompt, then select the desired switches. When finished, scroll to and select Accept.
16. Review the Unlock with face prompt, then select the desired option.
17. If you would like to set your pin, enter the desired pin then select Next. If you would like to use a different type of screen lock, select Screen lock options then select the desired option and follow the on-screen prompts for setup. To proceed without activating device protection features, select Skip.
Note: If you select Skip, you will be prompted to select Skip anyway to confirm.
18. Review the Welcome to AT&T amiGO prompt. Select Next and follow the prompts to continue setting up AT&T amiGO, or select Skip to set it up later.
Note: If you select Skip, you will be prompted to select Continue to confirm. For this tutorial, Next was selected.
19. Download the AT&T AmiGO app on the phone you plan to supervise this device with, then select Sign in. Enter your email and password, then select Sign in again.
Note: If you do not have an account yet, select Create an account and follow the prompts.
20. On your tablet, select Next to pair it with the AT&T amiGO app.
21. From the AT&T amiGO app, select Add device, then select AT&T amiGO Jr Tab (Kids Tablet).
22. Enter the Child Tablet Profile information as desired, then select Next.
23. Scan the QR code on your tablet, then enter the activation code shown. When finished, select Next.
24. Review the Grant Secondary Access prompt, then select the desired option.
25. When the AT&T amiGO app has been linked to your tablet, you will receive a confirmation on the tablet. Select Start to continue setup.
26. Review the TCL Terms and Privacy, then select I agree.
27. Select Continue to continue setup, or select Leave & get reminder to complete setup later.
28. You may set up additional email accounts or change how text displays now or later. Select the desired option and follow the prompts to configure settings, or select No thanks to proceed without additional setup.
29. The tablet is now ready for your child. Hand the device to your child and select Next.
30. Select the desired interests, then select Next.
31. Select the desired options to customize your avatar. When finished, select Done.
