Access and use the Map app
1. From the clock screen, press theÂ
Digital Crown/Home button then select theÂ
Â
Maps app.Â
Note: First-time users will receive a location prompt. Select Allow Once, Allow While Using App or Don't Allow.
2. Select the
Search icon. Select
Search to enter a destination or search for places nearby. Select the
Menu icon in the Search field to search for
nearby locations that have food, drinks, gas and more.Â
Note: For this tutorial, Search was selected.
3. Use the keyboard to type out the desired location. When finished, select Done.Â
Note: Select the Keyboard icon to switch the desired input method. Select the Microphone icon to speak your desired location into the watch. Select Scribble icon and write your desired location. Select the Keyboard icon to type out the desired location. For this tutorial, the Keyboard was selected.
4. When the map appears, select the desired location.

Note: Select the List icon to view search results as a list.
5. Location information will appear on the next screen. Select the navigation time to start navigation.
6. Select the desired suggested route. To change the transportation method, select the transportation icon then select the desired mode of transportation.
Note: Navigation will also begin on your paired device.
7. The watch will navigate as you move.
Note: To view a list of turn-by-turn directions in advance, select the Info icon.

8. To end navigation, select the X icon, then select End Route.

Access and use Offline maps
1. You can now download maps on your iPhone and use them while offline. You can use downloaded maps on your Apple Watch to navigate to places where cellular service and Wi-Fi are limited. From your paired iPhone, navigate to and select the
Map app > select the
Profile icon >
Offline Maps >
Download New Map.
Note: Offline maps only work when your iPhone is turned on and in range of your Apple Watch. This feature only works with Apple Watches on WatchOS 10 and later and iPhones on iOS 17 and later.

2. Enter and search for the desired area of the map you would to download. Adjust the map as desired, then select Download.

3. To use offline maps on your Apple Watch, from the Offline Maps screen, ensure theÂ
Only Use Offline Maps and
Sync with Apple Watch switches are selected.
Â
4. On your Apple Watch, navigate to and select the
Maps app. The offline map will automatically download from your paired iPhone to your Apple Watch.
