- You must connect your device to Wi-Fi® to download the update.
- Although there should be no impacts to settings or data, we recommend that you back up your media files to an SD card, a computer, or using a favorite application, prior to upgrading the software.

- Make sure your device is fully charged and connected to Wi-Fi.
- From the Settings screen, press the navigation keys to highlight AT&T Software Update, then select Check for Updates and press OK.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install the update. The device automatically restarts once the new software successfully installs.

- From the home screen, press the up navigation key to access Settings.
- Scroll to and select About phone, then OK.
- Scroll to Software information and select Software version.
- If the Software version and Baseband versions don’t match the current update details; perform additional updates until they do.
