Mobile Hotspot

Set up your device as a personal hotspot and share your data connection with Wi-Fi-capable devices.

INSTRUCTIONS & INFO

In this tutorial, you will learn how to:

 

• Turn mobile hotspot on/off

• View mobile hotspot network name

• Configure hotspot settings

 

When Mobile Hotspot is enabled, the Mobile Hotspot Mobile hotspot icon will be displayed in the Notification bar.

Turn mobile hotspot on/off

1. From the home screen, press the OK key to access the Menu App. Press the navigation keys to highlight the Settings app and press the OK key.

2. Press the down navigational key to highlight Internet sharing, then press the OK key to select. Press the OK key to select Mobile Hotspot.

3. Press the up navigational key to highlight the On, then press the OK key to select.

 

Note: If Wi-Fi is turned on, you will be prompted to press the right select key to select Close.

View mobile hotspot network name 

From the Internet sharing screen, press the down directional key to view the Hotspot name.

Configure hotspot settings

From the Internet sharing screen, press the down navigational key to highlight the Hotspot settings then press the OK key to select. You can configure the Hotspot name, Security, and Hotspot password from this screen. Edit the desired settings, press the right select key to select Save.
 

Note: You can only edit Mobile Hotspot settings when the Mobile Hotspot is turned off.
